Secretary Anderson conducted a day long tour of over ten Harford County business and community
development projects. He commented that “the rehabilitation of the Aberdeen B&O Train Station can
bring tremendous economic activity to the area.” “As a gateway to downtown, a revitalized station will
attract both locals and tourists to the area, with the potential for additional attractions in the future. We
look forward to watching this historic project bring new life and new investment to Aberdeen.”
The rehabilitation work Includes: new slate roof, new cedar shake siding, old and new brick veneer,
restoration/replacement of window and doors, structural work to freight room, cresting and finials.
Work is being performed by Bathon Builders and is expected to be completed by June, 2024.
Business and citizens desiring to make a contribution to the restoration effort can receive information
