Our Vision

Preserve the Aberdeen B&O Train Station as the Historical Gateway into Aberdeen and America’s Railroading Heritage.

Friends of the Aberdeen B&O Train Station

We are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, formed in June of 2020, dedicated to the History and Preservation of the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad’s only existing station on the Philadelphia Subdivision.  The Friend’s vision is to preserve the Aberdeen B & O Train Station as the Historic Gateway to Aberdeen and America’s Railroading Heritage. Restoration, Education and Community Engagement are our primary goals and we want to hear from our community. Our board of directors is comprised of mostly Aberdeen residents with an interest in seeing the station restored to its former glory. Because the station serves as a gateway to the downtown area, we see great value in restoring the building and showcasing some of the heritage of our region.

Restoring the station is going to be a huge task and we need your help! There are volunteer opportunities available at public events, communications and fundraising. Fill out the interest form and let us know how you would like to lend a hand.
